Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 4, 2026

At Read It, we know your reading list is personal — the articles you save often reflect what you're curious about, worried about, or working on. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how it's protected.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you save an article, we store the link, title, and a cached readable copy so you can access it later — including offline. We do not read the content of your saves for any purpose beyond displaying them back to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your saved articles and reading lists are used only to power your personal reading experience — organizing, tagging, estimating reading time, and syncing across your devices. We do not sell your reading history or share it with advertisers.

3. Data Retention and Security

Saved articles remain in your account for as long as you keep them, and are removed permanently when you delete them or close your account. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to our systems is strictly limited to what's needed to operate the service.

4. Third-Party Content

When you save a page, Read It creates a cleaned, readable copy for your personal use. We respect publishers' content and do not redistribute saved articles publicly or to other users.

5. Your Rights

You can export or delete your reading list, or close your account entirely, at any time from your settings. For any other request, reach out using the contact below.

6. Contact Information
